Updates

You never need to download LeanBot again. It updates itself.

#A new LeanBot version

1. LeanBot downloads the new version in the background.
2. A blue Update ready bar appears at the top of the window.
3. Press Install and restart when it suits you, then Install now — sure? to confirm. LeanBot closes for a few seconds and opens again.

Fixes and new features wait for you to press Install. Only a game update installs by itself (below).

Accounts set to Autostart (the ⟳ button on their card) come back by themselves. Others you start again from the Dashboard.

#A DarkOrbit game update

When DarkOrbit releases a patch, the game's messages can change, and an old LeanBot would no longer understand them.

1. Our server checks for a new game version every 10 minutes.
2. When there is one, LeanBot is rebuilt for it and fully tested. Nothing is released if a test fails.
3. Your LeanBot downloads the fix, installs it by itself and restarts, without asking, so it never flies your accounts on the old version.

Updates are small, often under a megabyte. LeanBot first checks 30 seconds after it opens, then every hour.

#Is it safe?

Only updates signed by us can install, so nobody can slip something else in.
