Schedules

A schedule is a week plan: for every hour of the week, which config to fly. For example: palladium at night, NPCs in the afternoon, a galaxy gate in the evening.

The Schedules screen

Make a schedule

  1. Click Schedules at the top.
  2. Press New, type a name (like "Weekdays") and press Create. Clone does the same, starting from a copy of the schedule on screen.
  3. Under Jobs, press + Add a job for each config you want: give it a name and pick the config to fly. Each job gets its own colour by itself.
  4. Paint the week: pick a job, then drag across the grid of days and hours. Click a day's name or an hour to paint all of it. Paint with Nothing to clear an hour. Need finer timing? Under Slots, pick 30 min, 15 min or 5 min: each hour splits into rows you can paint on their own. Going back to a longer slot keeps the first part of each.
  5. Make sure Weekly plans on (beside the tabs) is switched on.

Put accounts on it

A schedule does nothing until an account follows it.

  1. On the Accounts tab, choose the schedule in an account's Schedule column. (Under a schedule's jobs, N accounts follow it opens this tab on just those accounts.)
  2. Switch on Follow for that account.

Several accounts can follow the same schedule. Tick several accounts to change them all at once: Follow, Pause (stop following but keep the schedule), or Detach.

It never leaves in the middle of something

When the hour changes, LeanBot doesn't drop everything: it waits for a safe moment before switching. When the ship changes hands, on the Priorities tab, sets how long it waits:

  • Wait up to … minutes for the cleanest moment (20 by default). After this it asks more firmly.
  • Switch anyway after … minutes (45 by default). After this the switch is forced.
Good to know

These two numbers are shared by every schedule and account. They go back to 20 and 45 every time LeanBot restarts.

What "a safe moment" means:

  • Never during a captcha, while the ship is dead or resting after a revive, or on its way to repair, unless the switch is forced.
  • Never in the middle of changing ships, not even when forced.
  • Inside a galaxy gate the gate is never abandoned: the ship is told to leave by the next exit portal, and switches once it's out.
  • Vortex of Greed (while inside) refuses every switch, even a forced one.
  • Palladium finishes a selling trip it has already started, but doesn't start one because of the switch: palladium still in the hold stays there. DSE keeps fighting its level, but gives in when the switch is forced, which can end the level early.
  • Group gates (Quarantine Zone, Hades, LOW) wait while the ship has a group, and for Free after no group minutes after the group is gone. A forced switch doesn't wait for the group.
  • Time spent paused, stopped, reconnecting or with the scheduler off doesn't count towards these waits.

Rules the scheduler always follows

  • It only moves accounts that are running, logged in and not paused. It never starts a stopped account.
  • An account with no schedule and no objectives switched on is left completely alone.
  • Objectives come first, then the weekly plan, then your own pick. Changing an account's config by hand doesn't stick while one of its objectives is running or taking it back to what it flew before, or while its schedule has a job painted on the current hour: within a few seconds the scheduler puts it back. Switch the objective off, detach or Pause the account first. An hour painted with Nothing leaves your choice alone. Detaching the weekly plan does not stop the objectives.
  • Not sure why an account is on a config? The line under the config on its account card says, for example Daily quests has the ship… or The weekly plan 'A' says 'EBL' now…. The same sentence shows on this screen when you open the account's row.
  • Weekly plans on is remembered: if you switch it off, it stays off after a restart. It only stops the weekly plans: objectives keep running, each by its own switch.
  • Your Dashboard groups only help you pick accounts on this screen. They don't change what the scheduler does.

Objectives: jobs it fits in

Some things aren't tied to an hour: a daily gate, the daily quests, Galaxy Trek. These are objectives. On the Accounts tab, open an account's objectives (the dots in the Objectives column), switch on the ones you want, and choose a config for each one: the config the ship flies while doing it.

Careful

An objective switched on without a config does nothing; its panel says it has nothing to fly it with.

ObjectiveWhat it does
Trinity TrialsFlies the daily Trinity Trials gate. About twenty minutes.
Voyagers AscentFlies the daily Voyagers Ascent gate.
Daily questsDoes the quest givers' daily quests your rules pick.
Galaxy TrekFlies the missions that earn keys (expedition, gate, fighting and collecting, each on its own config), spends the keys to advance and claims the milestones. Its Stop at setting stops flying missions once that many planets are explored (10 by default), so the account goes back to its own work; keys are still spent and milestones claimed.
Urgent missionTakes the game's urgent mission (the one with a two-hour clock) and does it, then hands the ship back. Give it a config that runs the Urgent missions module.
Trial of TerrorThe Halloween gate, once every twelve hours while the event is on: goes to x-4, flies the gate on the config you pick and comes back. A run takes up to three hours. Give it a config that runs the Trial of Terror module.
Curcubitors UnleashedThe Halloween NPC event: flies the config you pick while the Curcubitors are out.
Agatus BreachThe Agatus event: flies the config you pick while its NPCs are out.
Vortex of GreedEach Vortex of Greed session (three a day): goes to x-1 a few minutes before it opens, flies the config you pick, and comes back after.
Galaxy Gate bonusTuesday to Thursday each gate pays a bonus for its first completion of the day, drawn from a list, so which gate pays what changes daily. Tick the Rewards worth a gate (none until you do), and in Gates which gates may be flown for them, in order. A gate is flown once, on the config you pick, only while its bonus that day is one you ticked. Build lets that config's spinner buy a gate's parts for its bonus, if the spinner is on.
Pumpkin boxes, Ghost bossesWhile the server runs that event, flies the config you pick for it: one that collects the pumpkin boxes, one that hunts the ghost bosses.

The ship fits them in when it's safe, then goes back to what the schedule says.

How objectives behave:

  • A running objective comes before the weekly schedule. One whose time window is about to close (an event that has started, for example) may interrupt one you ranked below it, never one above.
  • An event objective puts the ship on its config a few minutes before the event opens (Go early, 3 minutes by default), so it is on the map when the NPCs come out. Give it a Between config too, and the account flies that while the event is on but its NPCs are not out.
  • Each has a time limit: Daily quests 2 hours, Trinity Trials 40 minutes, Voyagers Ascent 1 hour, Galaxy Trek 4 hours. The clock starts when the ship actually switches.
  • Trinity Trials and Voyagers Ascent run once a day (Trinity Trials twice on a server Sunday): running out of time counts as done until tomorrow. Daily quests and Galaxy Trek run whenever there's something to do: after running out of time they're offered again about an hour later.
  • When an objective ends, the account goes back to the config it was flying before, even without a schedule. This is remembered across restarts.
  • "Today" and "this week" follow the game server's clock, and its weeks start on Monday.

Priorities: the order

The Priorities tab on the Schedules screen lists every objective and game event in one column. When two want the ship at once, the higher one wins. Drag a row to move it (on a phone, use its arrows); the weekly plan is always the last row. The order is the same for every account.

Each row also takes a config for the whole fleet, and an event a Between config, so you can set them once there instead of on every account. A config chosen in an account's own objective panel still wins for that account.

Tip

You can use objectives without a schedule: switch them on for an account and it keeps flying its own config, with the daily jobs fitted in.

Good to know

The hours are the game server's time, not necessarily yours. Right after logging in, before the server has said what time it is, LeanBot uses your PC's clock.
