1. Who we are
LeanBot and this site are operated by:
The quickest way to reach us is our Discord server. In these terms "we" means the operator above and "you" means the person using the site or the software.
2. The service
LeanBot is software that plays DarkOrbit for you. This site is where you sign in, keep a prepaid balance, and spend it on licences that let LeanBot run your game accounts.
LeanBot is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Bigpoint or by anyone involved with DarkOrbit, and DarkOrbit is their trademark.
3. Your game accounts
You decide which game accounts LeanBot runs, and you accept that risk for each of them. A ban, a lost item or lost progress in the game is not a fault in our service and is not a reason for a refund. The game also changes without notice; after a game update LeanBot may stop working until we adapt it.
Only use LeanBot with game accounts that are yours to use.
4. Your account
You sign in with Discord. Your LeanBot account is your Discord account: keep it secure, because anyone who controls it controls your balance and licences. One person, one LeanBot account. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
5. Wallet credit
- You top up your balance in euros through PayPal (with a PayPal account or a card). Every top-up and every spend shows in your history.
- Credit is a prepayment for LeanBot licences. It is not money, not electronic money and not a bank deposit: it earns no interest, cannot be sent to another person, and can only be paid back to you as described in section 7.
- Credit does not expire while the service exists.
- Prices are shown on the site before you spend. We may change prices; a change never affects a licence you have already bought.
- Prices include any VAT we owe.
6. Licences, trials and free use
Credit buys permission for LeanBot to run game accounts:
- Lifetime slots run one game account for as long as LeanBot is offered. A slot is tied to one game account ID; you can move it to another account, with a waiting time between moves shown on the site.
- Passes run a number of game accounts for a fixed period (for example 30 days), shown with the price. A pass does not renew unless you switch on renewal from your balance, and it never charges your card.
A licence covers game accounts, not computers. The same game account cannot run on two LeanBot installations at once.
Some features work without any licence. We may also offer trials and free periods (for example a free weekend). What is free, and for how long, is our choice and can change; a trial or free period gives no right to anything after it ends.
7. Withdrawal and refunds
Unspent credit
Within 14 days of a top-up you can ask for the part of it you have not spent back, for any reason. Ask us on Discord with your Discord username; we pay it back to the original payment method within 14 days. After those 14 days, unspent credit is not refundable, except where the law says otherwise or under section 9.
Spent credit
When you buy a slot or a pass, it starts straight away. By buying it you ask us to start immediately and you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw from that purchase once it has started. Spent credit is therefore not refundable — unless LeanBot did not work because of a fault on our side that we could not fix in reasonable time, in which case we refund the affected purchase as credit or to your payment method.
Nothing here removes a right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a payment with PayPal or your bank — almost everything can be settled faster that way. If a payment is reversed or charged back, the credit it added is removed from your balance, which can then go below zero. While your balance is below zero, your licences are suspended; they come back when the balance is settled.
9. Acceptable use
You may not:
- resell, rent or share your licences or your account;
- remove, bypass or tamper with LeanBot's licence checks, or distribute a modified copy that does;
- attack, overload or probe this site or the licence service;
- pay with a payment method you are not entitled to use.
If you do, we may suspend or close your account. When we close an account we pay back its unspent credit, unless the closure follows fraud or a chargeback.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep LeanBot and this site running, but we do not promise they will always be available or free of faults. If the licence service is briefly unreachable, LeanBot keeps running for a while on its last confirmed licence. We may change, improve or remove features of LeanBot; we will not take away what a licence you bought is for while it lasts.
11. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for anything that happens to your game accounts (section 3), or for loss caused by the game's operator. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Privacy
We collect only what the service needs:
- From Discord: your user ID, username and avatar, to sign you in and to recognise your purchases. We ask Discord to add you to our server.
- Payments: the order number, amount, status and fee PayPal reports. We never see your card number; PayPal handles it.
- Licences: the game account IDs your licences run, an identifier for each LeanBot installation, and the IP address it connects from, to enforce licences and detect sharing.
We use this to provide the service, prevent fraud and keep the records accounting law requires. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting law requires; everything else is deleted when you ask us to close your account, unless we need it to settle a dispute.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by contacting us. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version at the top changes when we do; for a change that affects you materially we announce it on Discord before it applies. A change never applies to a purchase made before it.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator in section 1 is established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
