Guide/Licence and extras

AI assistant

Connect an AI app such as Claude to LeanBot, then ask it things in plain words. It reads what the bot sees, explains it, and can change settings for you after asking.

Things you can ask:

  • "What are my accounts doing?"
  • "Why is my second account not attacking the Streuners?"
  • "Give me a morning report: quests done, rewards to claim, gate lives."
  • "It keeps dying on 4-5. What should I change?"
  • "Make a config for Zeta and run it from 20:00 to 02:00 server time."
Good to know

The AI app must support MCP. Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and VS Code do. LeanBot must be running while you use it.

Connect Claude Desktop

  1. Install Claude Desktop and sign in.
  2. In LeanBot, press AI in the menu at the top.
  3. Press Connect Claude Desktop.
  4. Quit Claude Desktop from the tray icon, then open it again.
  5. Start a new chat and ask "What are my LeanBot accounts doing?"

Claude asks to use the LeanBot tools the first time. Allow them.

Never spend is ticked to start with: the AI can change settings but never spends uridium, credits or keys.

Tip

Not sure yet? Tick Read-only before you press Connect Claude Desktop. The AI can then look at everything and change nothing. Change the ticks and press Connect Claude Desktop again whenever you like, then restart Claude Desktop.

Connect another AI app

The AI page shows the settings for other apps, with the path of your LeanBot already filled in.

  1. Press Copy under Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and others.
  2. Paste it into the app's MCP settings.
  3. Restart the app.

For Claude Code, press Copy under Claude Code and run the line once in a terminal.

Ready-made workflows

LeanBot gives the AI step-by-step guides for the common jobs. In Claude Desktop they are in the + menu of a chat, under leanbot.

WorkflowUse it for
leanbot-diagnoseThe bot is stuck, idle, or ignores something.
leanbot-tuneChange settings, NPCs, boxes or the config.
leanbot-schedulePlan the week: configs, hours, daily objectives.
leanbot-groupAdd a list of accounts over your proxies and make them play as one group.
leanbot-gatesGalaxy gates, the spinner, gate lives.
leanbot-damageThe ship dies or loses too much hull.
leanbot-reportA summary of every account and what to claim.
leanbot-basicsHow the AI should use LeanBot. It reads this by itself.

What the AI can and cannot do

  • It can read every account's status, log, map, settings, quests, passes and gates.
  • It can change settings, configs, schedules, NPC and box tables, start, stop and pause accounts, use items and claim rewards.
  • It asks you first before it changes anything, and says what it will change.
  • Every change it makes is written to that account's log, marked "from your AI".
  • It can undo what it changed. Say "undo that" or "put back everything you changed".
  • It can wait for something, such as "tell me when my account is back in game", for up to 10 minutes.
  • It can look things up in this guide, so it explains settings the same way the guide does.
  • It cannot see your passwords, your proxy passwords or LeanBot's security key.
  • It cannot read files on your PC through LeanBot.
  • It cannot link or unlink your licence.
Careful

Buying items, exploring in Galaxy Trek, spinning gates and bidding spend real in-game currency. With Never spend ticked the AI cannot do them. Without it, read what the AI proposes before you say yes.

Good to know

Your AI app sends what LeanBot answers to its provider, like the rest of the chat. That includes account names and in-game details.

Rules it always follows

  • Only commands that change nothing are offered when Read-only is ticked.
  • With Never spend ticked, the AI cannot buy, explore, spin for gates or bid, nor switch on a feature or setting that does. It can switch them off. Configs you already set up to spend keep spending.
  • Undo only covers what the AI changed in the same chat. Changes you made in the app are never undone by it.
  • Licence sign-in and sign-out are never offered to the AI.
  • Text from the game, such as other players' names and chat, is treated as text. The AI is told never to follow instructions in it.

It does not work

You seeDo this
Claude shows no LeanBot toolsQuit Claude Desktop from the tray and open it again.
Only one tool, leanbot_bridgeLeanBot is not running. Start it; the tools appear by themselves.
