Configs
A config is a saved set of settings: which module runs, what to kill, what to collect, when to repair, which ammo to use, the zones you painted. Every account flies exactly one config, and any number of accounts can fly the same one.
The config screen
Open it from Saved configs at the top (all configs), or from an account's Config tab (that account's settings).
| Part | What it's for | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Config name | Which config you are editing. Next to it: the module it runs, and which accounts fly it. |
| 2 | Categories | General (working area, moving around, safety, revive), NPC killer, Collect, Group, PET, Ship, Map zones. Under them, the current module with an M. |
| 3 | Features | Every module and behaviour. Pick the module here, switch behaviours on and off. The behaviours are listed under it. |
| 4 | How much to show | Basic: only what a first run needs. Advanced: tuning too. Everything: every setting. Beside it, Changed shows only the ones you changed. |
| 5 | Search | Type a word, like "repair", to find any setting or behaviour. |
Lost a setting? Type part of its name in the search box (5). It looks through every category at once.
Hover over a setting's name to read what it does. Changes are saved at once and the bot uses them straight away: there is no save button and nothing to restart.
Reset at the top right puts everything on that screen back to how it shipped. A setting marked planned isn't used yet; it shows what's coming.
One config, many accounts
Change the ammo in a config and every account flying it uses the new ammo straight away. There are no copies to keep in step.
The line under the config name tells you who is affected: Changes here reach all 3 accounts flying it.
An exception for one account
Sometimes one account is different, say an older one that should use better ammo. Change the setting from that account's Config tab instead:
The line at the top (1) then says Changes here are this account's only. That account keeps following the config for everything else, including changes you make later. The account's own Config tab says how many of the config's settings it overrides, with a link to give them all back to the config.
Two more things to know:
- An account's exceptions belong to the config they were made on. Move the account to another config and it starts that one clean; move it back and its exceptions are there again.
- On a config shared by several accounts, choosing a module for one account (on its map) changes only that account.
- A global configuration aimed at an account by name beats one aimed at its group, which beats one for everybody. See Global configurations.
Make, copy and rename configs
All saved configs lists every config and who flies it:
- New config: type a name, then Create empty (shipped settings) or Clone the one you're on.
- Edit, Clone, Rename, Delete on each row. A config can't be renamed while an account on it is running (stopped accounts follow the new name), and can't be deleted while any account uses it. The
defaultconfig can't be renamed or deleted.
Configs are plain folders inside data\configs in your LeanBot folder. Copy one to back it up, or send it to a friend.
Learned things are shared
What LeanBot learns as it plays, like the names of NPCs and boxes it has seen, is shared between all your configs. A config only holds what you decided.
