Guide/Modules

Daily quests

The Daily quests module visits the quest givers, takes the daily quests your rules pick (for echo keys, armory tokens and so on) and does them. Beta

Tip

Best as an objective. Switch on Daily quests on the Schedules screen: the ship does its normal job and fits the quests in, then goes back.

Choosing which quests: the rules

Which quests is a list of rules about what a quest asks and what it pays. The first rule that matches a quest decides whether it is taken. A quest no rule takes is left at the giver.

When it goes

SettingWhat it does
Look again every (minutes)While collecting a set of quests, how often to fly back to the giver for the next one.
Do gathered quests from (hour)From this server hour, do the quests collected so far, before the day resets.
Visit the giver duringTime windows (server time), like 05:30-09:15, when the ship visits the giver at least once, for quests only offered then.
Stay put duringTime windows when it never starts a trip to a giver, for example around server maintenance.
Stop at givers on the wayA distance (3,000 by default; 0 switches it off). While another config flies, stop at a giver the ship passes this close to and take the quests your rules pick. At most once an hour, unless a quest has ended since.
When doneWhen the giver has nothing more: park in a safe zone, or keep farming with Kill & Collect.

Where it hunts

SettingWhat it does
Use the battle mapsCount 4-1 to 4-5 as your own maps for quests. 4-5 has many bosses, and players of every company.
Hunt bosses on 4-5Which bosses to hunt on 4-5 (for example the higher bosses only, or every boss). 4-5 spawns every boss, so one is found there sooner. Only used if your pilot can enter 4-5.
Avoid a map after dying there (minutes)After the ship dies on a map, do quests elsewhere for this long.
Give a quest up after failingDrop a quest that keeps failing.
PET locatorWhat the PET's enemy locator looks for while hunting: the quests' bosses, any NPC a quest wants, or nothing. Needs the locator gear.
OreWhat to empty from a full hold so an ore quest can move, and whether to sell a quest's ore after.
LasersWhich ammo to fire. How each NPC is fought comes from its row in your NPC table.

A map where none of the wanted NPCs turn up for 4 minutes (15 if it serves several quests) counts as empty and is avoided for 15 minutes, as long as another map will do.

Careful

The battle maps (4-x) have players of every company. Your ship can be attacked there.
