Guide/Modules

Events

Three modules for the game's events. All three are Beta.

Kristallon Apotheosis

The Kristallon Apotheosis event, three two-hour windows a day from Monday to Saturday. While a window is open, everyone on the server fills one bar by shooting the event's Icy and Kristallons on x-2 to x-8. When the bar is full, a boss gate opens on each company's x-1 and the Emperor Kristallon is fought inside for up to 30 minutes. The damage you deal decides your rewards, and the top ten get Apotheosis Booty Keys for the boxes that drop.

Each window has one boss. The module does the whole round:

  1. Ten minutes before a window it flies to its farm maps, then hunts the event's NPCs while the bar fills.
  2. When the bar is nearly full (Go to the gate at), it stops farming and waits on your x-1 by the boss gate.
  3. In the arena it fights the Emperor for damage. If the ship is destroyed, it repairs and flies straight back in.
  4. When the boss falls it opens the Apotheosis Boxes with any keys it earned and leaves. The window is then over, and the ship goes back to what it was doing.

Fly it from the Kristallon Apotheosis objective under Events on the Schedules screen: it starts before each window and hands the ship back when the window closes. Rank it first on the Priorities list to put every account on it.

SettingWhat it does
Farm difficultyWhere the event's NPCs are hunted: 1 = x-2/x-3, 2 = x-4/x-5, 3 = x-6/x-7, 4 = x-8. Higher maps give more points per kill but hit harder. Pick what your ship survives: the points fill one bar for the whole server, and your rewards come from the boss.
Change map afterMinutes on a farm map without seeing an event NPC before trying the other map of the pair. 0 stays put.
FarmingHow the event's NPCs are fought: Kill & Collect's settings. The event's NPCs are fought whatever your NPC table says.
Go to the gate atHow full the bar is when the ship stops farming and waits by the gate on x-1, so it is in for the whole fight. 0 waits for the gate to open.
Laser ammunitionFired at the boss. Blank: the strongest you have plenty of, UCB-100, then MCB-50, then MCB-25.
Drone formationFlown in the arena. Drill by default.
Fire RSBShoot the boss with RSB whenever a salvo is ready.
PET out on GuardKeep the PET out on Guard while farming and in the arena, whatever your PET settings say.
Combo ship repairSwitch the PET to Combo Ship Repair when enough hull is missing (Combo repair with hull missing) and no damage has landed for a few seconds, then back to Guard.
HP Link / HP Link under hullSwitch the PET to HP Link when the hull drops under the value (50 % by default), so the PET takes part of the damage, then back to Guard.
Energy leechFire the Energy Leech whenever it is ready while shooting the boss.
Use ship ability / Ship ability / Ship ability above hullFire your ship's ability at the boss whenever it is ready, only while the hull is above the setting (Orcus Assimilate costs hull).
Shoot while repairingKeep firing while backing off to repair. A death only costs the trip back, which the event allows as often as it takes.
(always on)When the Emperor locks the ship in its ice cage, it flies out through the cage's gap before the blast.
Dodge the boss's laserWhen the Emperor starts charging its big laser, fly a short way sideways, still firing. The laser goes through an instashield.
Keep health betweenBack away from the boss under the low end; rejoin over the high one. The low end is 0 by default, so the ship never backs away: the boss follows its target, and backing off only stops your own fire.
Play the polarity / Polarity safe distanceWhen the boss charges you positive or negative, stand on its side for your charge and keep away from ships carrying the other one.
ISH on a sticky bomb / ISH afterFire your instashield when the boss's sticky bomb is stuck to the ship, after this many milliseconds.
EMP on a sticky bombFire an EMP instead when no instashield is ready.
Open the boxesAfter the boss falls, collect the Apotheosis Boxes. Each takes one Apotheosis Booty Key.

Vortex of Greed

Fights in Vortex of Greed during its sessions on your x-1 map: RSB on every NPC for damage, collects the coin boxes, and leaves through an extraction point before the session ends.

SettingWhat it does
FightingHow NPCs are fought inside: Kill & Collect's settings. Every NPC in the Vortex is fought, whatever your NPC table says.
Fire RSBShoot with RSB whenever it's ready: the fastest way to a damage mission.
Leave when the Galaxy Trek missions are doneLeave as soon as no Galaxy Trek mission counts in the Vortex any more. Off: stay to the end of the session.
Collect the coinsPick up the Stellar Coin boxes while fighting. Coins you carry are lost if you die.
Evacuate with seconds leftHead for an extraction point when this many seconds are left, once the Galaxy Trek missions that count in the Vortex are done (see below). Nothing is kept without evacuating.
Laser ammunitionWhat to fire inside. Blank: the strongest you have plenty of (see below).
Drone formationFormation while fighting inside.
Leave the group to enterThe Vortex takes no groups: leave the group before going in.

Rules it always follows in the Vortex:

  • Inside, it refuses every scheduler switch, even a forced one.
  • While a Galaxy Trek mission that counts in the Vortex is still open, it stays and fights to the end of the session and does not evacuate, so the coins are not kept. The same happens if the mission list couldn't be read. It only leaves once it has seen an extraction point.
  • Group invites are paused the whole time this module runs, including while it waits outside.
  • With Laser ammunition left blank, it uses UCB-100, then MCB-50, then MCB-25: the first you have more than 20,000 rounds of. Ammo you pick yourself is used as it is.
  • With Collect the coins on and more than 75 seconds left, it gathers coin boxes for 45 seconds, then heads for the exit.
  • Its "strike and exit" repair is taken, and the ship waits on the kill screen through its countdown.
Careful

Coins only count if the ship gets out through an extraction point. If you want the coins, switch on Leave when the Galaxy Trek missions are done, or make sure no Vortex mission is left open; otherwise the ship stays to the end and the coins are lost.

Trial of Terror

Flies the Halloween Trial of Terror gate: goes to your company's x-4, through the Tunnel of Terror portal, and fights each map out, wave after wave, until the gate is done. The gate can be done once every twelve hours; LeanBot remembers when each pilot last finished it, across restarts.

Fly it from the Trial of Terror objective on the Schedules screen: it starts a run whenever twelve hours have passed, and hands the ship back when it is over. A run takes an hour to two hours, and may take up to three. Rank it first on the Priorities list and it steps in as soon as it is due, even during an event.

SettingWhat it does
Who collects the boxesWait for the PET: between waves the ship flies beside each candy, demon and Curcubitor box and lets the PET take it, then takes it itself. Ship: the ship takes them. PET box collector: that feature does it (switch it on and tick the boxes), and the ship leaves them alone.
Wait for the PET (seconds)How long the ship waits beside a box for the PET before taking it itself.
Collect boxesPick up what the waves drop. Which ones is the Collect tab's box table: candy, demon and Curcubitor boxes are ticked there by default; untick one and the gate leaves it.
Collect rangeHow close the ship gets before asking for a box. If a box is not handed over, the ship goes right up to it and tries again.
Remember boxes for (minutes)The game only shows a box while you are near it. A box the ship has seen is remembered where it lay for this long (10 by default), and the ship flies back for it before taking the portal to the next map. Switch it off to collect only the boxes in sight.
LasersWhich laser ammunition to load, by how big the NPC is.
Keep health betweenBack away from the wave under the low end, rejoin over the high one.
Repair if shield underHold a wider ring with the guns off when the shield drops below this.
Keep NPCs out of cornersOff, Flagged NPCs (the ones you mark Don't let it reach a corner in the NPC table), or Every NPC. A kept NPC stays your target and, once below the next setting, is chased down in your roam configuration so it dies before it reaches a corner.
Chase them down belowThe hull at which a kept NPC is chased down. NPCs run for a corner at about 25%.
Fast travel to the gateJump to x-4 with the jump CPU, even when the Fast travel feature is off on this config. Spends uridium.
End gate configConfiguration and formation for when the waves are over.

Rules it always follows:

  • A boss box is always the ship's, whatever Who collects the boxes says, and it is taken straight away, even mid-wave, because it does not stay for long. The final boss's box comes first of all.
  • When the game says the gate is not ready yet, LeanBot waits exactly as long as the game says.
  • With a full cargo hold, the ship leaves candy boxes alone instead of trying again and again.
  • With no Tunnel of Terror portal on x-4, the event is off: it tries again two hours later.
  • Once a run has started, it finishes it before the schedule moves the ship on.

Galaxy Trek missions

Does the Galaxy Trek missions that need fighting or collecting (cargo boxes, NPC damage, ammunition, mines and rockets) on your own company's maps, without touching your NPC or box tables: the missions decide what to kill and collect. It works on your x-1 map, and moves to your x-2 map while a mine or rocket mission is open, because x-1 takes no mines.

SettingWhat it does
MissionsWhich missions it flies and how, the steps, the gate table, the keys and the item missions. Shared by every account on this config.
FightingHow NPCs are fought and boxes collected while doing them: Kill & Collect's settings.

When no mission is left to fight or collect for, the ship flies to the nearest safe place on the map (a portal or your base) and waits there.

The Galaxy Trek objective on the Schedules screen spends the keys to advance and claims the milestones.
